Heather Williams is a painter whose visceral images embody a life force that immediately engages the viewer. Her newest series of work are abstract however the figurative element is present, as if the ethereal forms are personified with an elegant, spiritual grace. And, like her earlier representational paintings movement remains the driving force. The tactile, undulating forms flow in gentle, rhythmic motions against a space of deep, dark red or blue.
